Product description

Using silicone rubber at a 100:2 ratio (100 parts of silicone to 2 parts of the hardener) requires precise measurement and mixing to ensure an ideal result. Here is the correct method of use: Materials and tools needed: • Silicone rubber (Part A - main material) • Hardener or curing agent (Part B - the hardener) • Precise electronic scale • Clean measuring cups • Wooden stick or silicone for mixing • Gloves to protect the hands • Brush (if applying in layers) • Mold or suitable work surface Preparation and usage method: 1. Measurement: • Use an electronic scale for accurate measurement. • Place 100 grams of silicone in a clean container. • Add only 2 grams of the hardener (i.e., ratio 100:2). • Ensure not to exceed this ratio, as excess hardener may cause rapid and uneven curing, while too little may prevent complete curing. 2. Mixing: • Use the silicone or wooden stick to mix slowly, ensuring to scrape the sides and bottom of the container. • Continue stirring for 3-5 minutes until the mixture is completely homogeneous. • Make sure there are no streaks or unmixed areas, as this could lead to uneven spots after curing. 3. Bubble removal: • If you have a vacuum chamber, place the mixture inside to remove bubbles before pouring. • If not available, leave the mixture for a few minutes until bubbles rise to the surface, then gently use a heat gun or shake lightly to eliminate them. 4. Pouring: • Pour the mixture slowly into the mold or over the desired model. • If using a brush, apply a thin layer first to ensure all details are covered, then pour the remaining mixture. • Try to pour from a low height to reduce air entry during pouring. 5. Drying and curing: • The curing time varies depending on the type of silicone, but it usually takes 6-24 hours to dry completely. • Leave it in a flat, dust-free, and humid-free place to ensure perfect curing. • After curing, gently remove the mold, and it will be ready for use. Additional tips: ✅ Ensure the mixture is completely homogeneous to guarantee even hardness. ✅ Do not use large quantities at once if you are a beginner, as silicone may start curing during work. ✅ Place the mold on a perfectly flat surface to ensure even thickness. ✅ Avoid increasing the hardener ratio to prevent the silicone from curing too quickly and becoming brittle.
