Summary:
Researchers and scholars who deal with the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia tend to divide that history into three periods:
The first period begins with the allegiance that took place between Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdulwahhab and Prince Muhammad bin Saud, which occurred in 1157 AH / 1744 AD, and ends with Imam Abdullah bin Saud's surrender to Ibrahim Pasha in 1232 AH / 1818 AD, which is called the First Saudi State.
The second period begins, according to most researchers, with Imam Turki bin Abdullah's success in removing the remaining soldiers of the military garrisons affiliated with Muhammad Ali from Najd in 1240 AH / 1824 AD, and ends with Prince Muhammad bin Rashed's victory over Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal in 1309 AH / 1891 AD, which is called the Second Saudi State.
These two periods or states are the focus of research and study in this first part of the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
