**Inivom Aprepitant 80mg – Advanced NK1 Receptor Protection Against Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea & Vomiting**

Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is one of the most debilitating side effects of cancer treatment, often forcing dose reductions or treatment discontinuation. Aprepitant represents a breakthrough in antiemetic therapy — acting on a completely different neurological pathway than traditional antiemetics, delivering superior and prolonged protection.

**Active Ingredient:**

Aprepitant 80mg — Neurokinin-1 (NK1) Receptor Antagonist.

**Medical Indications:**

- Prevention of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with highly and moderately emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, including cisplatin-based regimens.

- Used as part of a triple antiemetic regimen with a 5-HT3 antagonist and dexamethasone (Day 1: 125mg, Days 2-3: 80mg daily).

**Mechanism of Action:**

Aprepitant selectively blocks NK1 receptors in the central nervous system that are activated by Substance P — the principal neurotransmitter that triggers the vomiting center in the brain. By blocking at the source, it provides protection that oral 5-HT3 antagonists alone cannot achieve.

**How to Use (As Directed by Your Oncologist/Physician):**

- Day 1 of chemotherapy: 125mg capsule orally 1 hour before chemotherapy (different product).

- Days 2 and 3: This product — 80mg capsule orally each morning.

- May be taken with or without food.

**Critical Drug Interactions:**

- Reduces efficacy of hormonal contraceptives (pills, patches, rings) — use backup non-hormonal contraception during treatment AND for 1 month after the last dose.

- Interacts with warfarin (increases INR), dexamethasone, midazolam, and other CYP3A4-metabolized drugs.

- Inform your oncologist and pharmacist of ALL medications you are taking.

**Warnings:**

- Women of childbearing potential: Use reliable non-hormonal contraception during treatment and for 1 month after.

- Store below 30°C in original packaging. Keep out of children's reach.
