Exam and credential pathway
The exam covers data-protection concepts, GDPR compliance roles and responsibilities, and technical and organizational protection measures.
Passing the examination enables an application to the applicable PECB Data Protection Officer designation. The full DPO designation requires the specified professional and data-protection activity experience, while a provisional pathway is available without that experience; application and ethics requirements remain applicable.
Course completion, examination success, certification application and credential issuance are separate stages; the credential is not issued automatically.
