LINCO SPECT 100 ML Description LINCO SPECT is an injectable veterinary solution containing Lincomycin + Spectinomycin, used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections caused by organisms sensitive to these antibiotics in different animals, especially respiratory and gastrointestinal infections and some systemic infections. Composition Each 1 ml contains: Lincomycin (as lincomycin hydrochloride) 50 mg Spectinomycin (as spectinomycin sulfate tetrahydrate) 100 mg Benzyl alcohol 9 mg Pharmaceutical form Solution for injection. Target animals Cattle (calves) Sheep Goats Poultry (chickens and turkeys) Cats Dogs Indications Used to treat infections caused by organisms sensitive to lincomycin and/or spectinomycin, including: Respiratory infections Gastrointestinal infections Some systemic bacterial infections Mycoplasma cases in poultry Read the leaflet before use. Method of administration Cattle (calves), sheep, goats, cats, dogs: Administered via intramuscular injection. Poultry (chickens and turkeys): Administered via subcutaneous injection. Doses Calves: 5 mg lincomycin + 10 mg spectinomycin per kg live weight (equivalent to 1 ml per 10 kg live weight) Intramuscular injection, twice daily on the first day, then once daily for 3–5 days. Sheep and goats: 5 mg lincomycin + 10 mg spectinomycin per kg live weight (equivalent to 1 ml per 10 kg live weight) Intramuscular injection, once daily for 3–5 days. Poultry (chickens and turkeys): 10 mg lincomycin + 20 mg spectinomycin per kg live weight (equivalent to 1 ml per 5 kg live weight) Subcutaneous injection, once daily for 3 days. Cats and dogs: 10 mg lincomycin + 20 mg spectinomycin per kg live weight (equivalent to 1 ml per 5 kg live weight) Intramuscular injection, and treatment can be repeated every 12–24 hours for 3–7 days depending on clinical response. Withdrawal periods Meat and offal: Cattle (calves): 14 days Sheep and goats: 14 days Poultry (chickens and turkeys): 14 days Milk: Not to be used in lactating females for human consumption, during lactation or dry period, and not in animals that will produce milk for human consumption within the two months prior to parturition. Eggs: Not to be used in egg-producing birds intended for human consumption. Warnings Use is prohibited in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. Use is prohibited in rabbits, hamsters, chinchillas, and horses due to the risk of severe gastrointestinal disturbances. May cause temporary looseness of the stool or local pain at the injection site. Do not mix with other veterinary medicines in the same syringe. Storage Keep at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
