Product description
Product name: Nuracton 25 mg, reduces blood pressure, and protects from complications of high blood pressure - 30 tablets.
Generic name: Spironolactone 25 mg tablets.
Nuracton 25 mg tablets belong to antihypertensive medications.
Mechanism of action of spironolactone: anti-aldosterone with diuretic and blood pressure lowering advantages; it prevents aldosterone from binding to its receptors in the distal parts of the nephron, leading to increased excretion of Na+ and Cl- and water, and retention of K+ and H+, thus increasing urine output, which ultimately reduces blood volume and blood pressure.
Specific medical uses of Nuracton 25 mg tablets:
Treatment of patients with high blood pressure: Hypertension is a common condition where long-term blood pressure on artery walls is high enough to eventually cause health problems, such as heart diseases.
Also used to treat water retention in the body (edema) caused by heart, kidney, liver, or vascular problems.
Treatment of patients with nephrotic syndrome: a kidney disorder causing fluid retention in the body.
Treatment of patients with ascites: excess fluid in the abdomen and swelling, in other words, fluid accumulation under the skin or in one or more body cavities, for example, the cavity caused by liver cirrhosis.
Treatment of patients with malignant ascites: fluid containing cancer cells gathering in the abdomen.
Treatment of patients with high aldosterone levels: increased fluids in the body due to excess hormone called aldosterone.
