Product description
Omnic Ocas 0.4 mg, to maintain prostate health - 30 tablets
Generic name: Tamsulosin 0.4 mg extended-release tablets
Omnic Ocas tablets belong to prostate medications.
How Tamsulosin works: Tamsulosin belongs to a group of medications called alpha blockers.
Blocking alpha-1 receptors in the lower urinary tract causes relaxation of smooth muscles in both the prostate and bladder neck, leading to improved urine flow and reduced symptoms of the disease.
Special medical uses of Omnic Ocas tablets:
Tamsulosin can be used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
This occurs when the prostate gland enlarges, but the growth is not cancerous (it is benign).
It can cause problems with urination.
This mainly happens in elderly men.
How to use Omnic Ocas tablets:
Always take this medication exactly as your doctor or pharmacist told you.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
Doses may vary from patient to patient based on your age, medical condition, and whether you are taking other medications.
The recommended dose is one tablet per day taken after breakfast or the first meal of each day.
Doses can be changed in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions.
If you take more than you should, talk to your doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time for the next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the missed one.
