What you need to know before using Ciprofloxacin Do not take Ciprofloxacin: - If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the antibiotics from the quinolone family or other components of this medication. - If you are taking the drug Tizanidine. Precautions and warnings Tell your doctor about all your health conditions, including if you have: - Problems with tendons. - Heart problems, including heart failure or irregular heartbeat. - Nervous system problems such as epilepsy or seizures. - Nerve problems. - Kidney problems. - Liver problems. - Rheumatoid arthritis or other joint issues. - Myasthenia gravis. - Diabetes. - If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. This medication may cause tendon inflammation or rupture or nervous system problems.
