Drug description: Powder oral solution Macrogol 3350 - 13.125 g / Sodium chloride 0.3507 g / Sodium bicarbonate 0.1785 g / Potassium chloride 0.0466 g What is Macrogol / Sodium chloride / Sodium bicarbonate / Potassium chloride / and what is its use: This medicine consists of Macrogol which is a laxative and electrolytes (Sodium chloride, Sodium bicarbonate, and Potassium chloride). It is used to treat adult and adolescent patients and the elderly suffering from constipation, including if you have had constipation for a long time or due to fecal impaction (a severe intestinal condition where a hard, dry stool mass is stuck in the colon or rectum). Do not take Macrogol / Sodium chloride / Sodium bicarbonate / Potassium chloride • if you are allergic to Macrogol or Sodium chloride or Sodium bicarbonate or Potassium chloride or any components of this medicine. Tell your doctor about allergies and symptoms you have. • if you have an intestinal blockage. • if you have a tear in the intestinal wall. • if you suffer from severe inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis or toxic megacolon). How to take Macrogol / Sodium chloride / Sodium bicarbonate / Potassium chloride: Constipation The recommended dose is one sachet one to three times daily depending on the severity of constipation. The medication should be taken for about two weeks. If you need to take this medicine for longer, please consult your doctor first. If you are taking medicines that increase constipation or if you have constipation due to a disorder such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis, your doctor may recommend taking this medicine for more than two weeks.
