Product description: Panadol Extra is a combination of paracetamol and caffeine for the treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, and menstrual pain. Panadol Extra is gentle on the stomach. Panadol Extra is a pain reliever containing paracetamol and reduces fever and severe pain such as headache, including migraine, muscle pain, menstrual pain, toothache, and sore throat. How to use: Take two tablets up to 4 times daily, 8 tablets within 24 hours. Orally only. Adults including the elderly and children aged 12 years and above: Should not be used with other products containing paracetamol. Not recommended for children under 12 years. Do not exceed the specified dose. Warnings and precautions: Always read the label. Use only as directed. For pain relief and fever. Incorrect use can be harmful. Should not be taken at the same time as other products containing paracetamol. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to paracetamol, caffeine, or any other excipients in the product. Large overdoses exceeding 10 grams of paracetamol may cause liver failure. Consider additional antidote treatment based on plasma paracetamol levels and time since ingestion. Caffeine overdose: Excessive doses of caffeine may cause epigastric pain, vomiting, diuresis, irregular heartbeat, central nervous system stimulation, insomnia, agitation, nervousness, tremors, and seizures. It should be noted that for clinically significant symptoms of caffeine overdose with this product, the amount ingested will be associated with severe liver poisoning related to paracetamol. There is no specific antidote, but supportive measures can be used. In all suspected overdose cases, urgent medical care is critical for adults and children, even if no signs or symptoms are observed. Long-term daily use of paracetamol with anticoagulants and other coumarins used as blood thinners may increase bleeding risk. Consult your doctor before taking these medications together. Accidental doses of paracetamol have no significant effect. Alcohol use may increase the hepatotoxic effect of Panadol Extra. Panadol Extra is not recommended during pregnancy due to the potential increased risk of spontaneous abortion associated with caffeine consumption. This product should not be used during breastfeeding without medical advice.
