It works by preventing pore blockage and formation of blackheads and whiteheads, and killing bacteria on the skin that cause acne. This product also contains acrylates copolymer beads responsible for absorbing excess oils and producing glycerin, thus reducing skin irritation. Do not use benzoyl peroxide: If you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide or any of the ingredients in this product. If the packaging is torn or tampered with. If you are pregnant or planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. If the expiration date on the medication box has passed. Warnings and precautions: Stop using the medication immediately and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any allergies or skin reactions such as itching, redness, difficulty breathing, rash, facial or neck swelling, low blood pressure, or dizziness. This medication is for external topical use only. Do not swallow this product. Avoid contact of the gel with your lips, eyes, mouth, and sensitive areas of the neck and nostril corners to prevent irritation. In case of accidental contact, rinse the area thoroughly with warm water and dry. Do not apply this product to damaged skin. Do not use other acne medications to avoid excessive dryness or skin irritation unless recommended by your doctor or pharmacist. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and other sources of ultraviolet light. Be sure to apply a broad-spectrum, high-SPF, non-greasy sunscreen if you will be exposed to sunlight or other UV light sources. Minimize the use of cosmetics and avoid using oil-based cosmetics to prevent pore blockage. Benzoyl peroxide may stain or bleach towels, clothes, and bedding. Ensure they do not contact the skin. Skin irritation is more likely if your skin is fair. Do not use harsh scrubs, skin cleansers, medicated soaps, or alcohol-based cosmetics to prevent excessive dryness or skin irritation. Stop using this product and contact your healthcare provider if you experience any signs including skin allergic reactions such as rash, itching, red or swollen skin, ulcerated or scaly skin. Skin irritation is more likely if the gel is used more than recommended. Common side effects that may occur during the first weeks of starting this product include skin tingling, burning sensation, itching, mild peeling, and redness. These side effects usually occur within the first weeks of treatment and are generally mild and considered normal. You can use a moisturizer to alleviate these side effects. You may also apply the gel once daily (if you are using it twice daily) or once every two days to reduce the occurrence of these side effects. If your symptoms persist after stopping this medication, consult your doctor for advice. How to use benzoyl peroxide: It is always recommended to start your treatment with this medication using a 2.5% or 5% concentration of this product to ensure your skin gradually tolerates the product and to test for fewer side effects. If your skin tolerates 2.5% or 5%, your doctor or pharmacist may recommend a higher concentration of 10%. Be sure to apply this product only to acne-affected areas (spot treatment). Wash your hands before and after applying the gel. Start by washing and drying your hands before applying the gel. Then, wash the acne area with water and a gentle skin cleanser, followed by patting the skin dry. Next, apply a thin layer of benzoyl peroxide to the affected areas once daily, ensuring the gel stays on your skin for two hours, then wash off with water and dry the skin. Finally, it is recommended to apply a light moisturizer suitable for your skin that does not clog pores to keep your skin hydrated. If you do not feel skin pain after 3 days of starting this product, apply benzoyl peroxide in the evening and leave it on the affected area overnight. If there is no skin peeling or redness and the affected area does not improve after 7 days of use, use benzoyl peroxide twice daily (morning and evening). Be sure to replace the cap on the tube after use to prevent leakage. The duration of treatment depends on how quickly your skin responds to the product.
