Spyderco company developed Penknife knife in the United Kingdom after the United Kingdom banned carrying lock-blade knives. We started improving the classic pocket mechanism with a sliding hinge with a toothed hinge and added two features from Spyderco that define the modern folding knife: a pocket clip for comfortable carry and a round hole for the brand for easy one-handed opening. The UK knife is made 100% in the United States and is available either with a leaf-shaped blade design or with a drop point. Both are made of flat stainless steel CTS BD1N and feature a contrasting jump on the thumb ramp and index finger for positive control.
