Spyderco C36GPCMOBK folding knife

The basic model in the Save and Service collection from Spyderco is the military model C36 that meets the requirements of the high-performance, lightweight folder designed for heavy use. Since steel is the soul of the knife, CPM S30V seemed the logical choice for the blade due to its reputation for long-term edge retention and rust resistance. The "Millie" features a laser-cut modified blade with a 14mm round hole from Spyderco for quick deployment and use with gloves. To create a quieter blade, we colored the blade with a black DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating. The textured surface above the hole keeps the thumb in contact with the spine of the blade during cutting for confident control of the sharp edge. The handle scales are camouflaged G-10 with an integrated lock liner directly into the scales, increasing lock strength without adding bulky liners. The gaps between the scales create a space running the full length of the handle to reveal internal components for inspection and cleaning. The handle slightly glows at the front end, creating a finger groove, and at the rear end, preventing the knife from slipping forward or backward in the hand during deployment or tough, aggressive cuts. A black metal clip is set for right-hand carry. Please note that the camouflage pattern will vary on each knife and there will be no identical knives (or sides of each knife).
