The 1080 is New Balance's softest daily trainer. Generation 15 changed inside: it moved from Fresh Foam X to the new INFINION foam — which is why New Balance now calls it simply "1080v15". It launched in Japan in January 2026.

What is new in generation 15

• INFINION midsole — keeps the softness, adds rebound, holds its performance for longer and is lighter.
• Cup-shaped insert for springy cushioning and a stable foot.
• Redesigned outsole with N durance rubber at the heel, and a new mesh upper with a gusseted tongue.
