A book in storytelling and immortality: Storytelling and artistic workshops with collage Al-Madina Al-Munawara is not just a place, but a living experience and a deep accumulated culture. And every child has the right to rediscover their city, and to tell its story in their own artistic style, transforming tales and literature into visual paintings that resemble them. Program overview: It is an enriching program with an artistic and literary character, concerned with integrating storytelling with the art of collage. The participating child is the young artist and historian who reconstructs the landmarks of Al-Madina visually, by transforming literary texts and historical poems into tangible artworks, creating a deep emotional connection between the child and their city. The program includes three specialized workshops, for ages from 7 to 11 years. In each workshop, children experience an artistic and interactive journey where we discuss and apply: - How did the architecture of the Prophet's Mosque turn into stories in the travelers’ books? - How do we describe the aesthetics of the Holy Chamber? - What is my personal story with the city? How do I document it artistically? - How do we use materials to create a complex and beautiful artwork? - How do we express our love for the place and its history in an innovative creative way? Program outputs: - Strengthening identity and belonging to Al-Madina and its noble landmarks. - Documenting the child's personal biography and their relationship with the place. - Developing artistic and literary appreciation in the child and linking it to the city’s culture. - Teaching collage techniques and working with different materials and coordinating them.
