AQUACEL® Ag Advantage is an antimicrobial dressing used to treat acute and difficult-to-treat wounds that are infected or at risk of infection. The dressing contains Hydrofiber® and MORE THAN SILVER™ technology that work together to provide effective bio-plaque control within the dressing.

Hydrofiber® Technology

Hydrofiber® technology is a unique technology that allows the bandage to quickly absorb fluids and turn them into a gel. This gel helps create a moist environment conducive to healing.

MORE THAN SILVER™ TECHNOLOGY

MORE THAN SILVER™ Technology is an additional technology that adds to the antimicrobial properties of the dressing. This technology breaks down bioplaque, a layer of bacteria and sticky material that can form on the wound surface and prevent healing.

Using AQUACEL® Ag Advantage

AQUACEL® Ag Advantage is applied to the wound by simply placing it over the wound and leaving it in place until it becomes moist. The dressing can be changed as needed, but is usually changed every day or two.

Contraindications

AQUACEL® Ag Advantage should not be used if the patient is allergic to any of the components of the dressing.
