He concludes his critical project with monitoring the radical transformation in the Islamic reference from the Quran to the Hadith. He analyzes using the concept of "renewed emergence" how the Prophet's Sunnah was imposed as divine infallible legislation, through tracing the historical and jurisprudential mechanisms (such as the authority of the single report and the abrogation and abrogated) that reduced the role of the ijtihad mind. He argues that this rupture turned the accountable person into a robotic human submissive to the text, and established a structural resistance to modernity, providing a detailed analysis of the crisis of the mind in historical Islam.
