Islam between the East and the West

The basic idea of the book revolves around that Islam offers a third way and a unique methodology that balances between opposites: the East: represented by pure spirituality that neglects the material side. The West: represented by absolute materialism that neglects the spiritual side. Bejovic sees that man is a dual being made of matter and spirit, and that any civilization that focuses on only one side will fail. He emphasizes that Islam is the only methodology capable of combining these two sides in an integrated way, presenting a comprehensive system that balances between religion and the world, art and science, freedom and responsibility.
