Product description

The book / Issues of the Arab Mind (Critique of the Critique of the Arab Mind) , by the author / George Tarabishi , presents the second part of his critical project aimed at deconstructing the "closed problematic" methodology of Muhammad Abed Al-Jabri in "Critique of the Arab Mind". Tarabishi does not limit himself to deconstructing these issues, but also proposes open alternative issues for understanding the Arab mind. This part focuses on three major issues: first, the issue of the reference framework, where he reconstructs the "age of codification" considering the Quranic event as the central point of civilization, in response to Jabri's narrative. Second, the issue of language and mind, where he defends the rationality, historicity, and civilizational aspect of the Arabic language against Jabri's accusations. Third, the issue of the unconscious structure, where he deconstructs the tripartite division (statement, recognition, proof) and reveals Jabri's questionable indebtedness to modernist theorists, aiming to lift the epistemological siege on the Arab mind.
