Product description

This book includes two main sections: a section related to the nature of inference, in which the author emphasized, in simple and clear language and with several examples, what distinguishes inference from observation and calculation. He aimed to answer a central question: can inference be reduced to calculation? The second section focuses on what can be called the dialogue of logic and calculation, where he considered that the development of inference has accompanied the development of mathematics as an inferential or logical science. Instead of reducing calculation to inference or vice versa, Gil Dweik called for giving calculation a special status in sciences to solve some problems that remained unresolved for centuries, which has been reinforced by the development of information technology nowadays; this confirms the integration between the fields of logic and mathematics.
