Product description
How do we analyze the story? This book focused on examining a contemporary critical experience that worked on a dominant traditional narrative form, which is the story, and addressed it through mechanisms of analysis and striking interpretation. The study aimed to uncover these mechanisms and the reading strategies it was based on, as well as to clarify the methods of critical construction relying on specific theoretical and procedural concepts, which the study revealed through the central question it adopted: How do we analyze the story? The answer was framed by a distinctive model of approach, represented by this experience embodied in the writings of Abdel Fattah Kilito, which influenced subsequent critical attempts and together formed a contemporary phenomenon of a particular critical approach to analyzing and interpreting traditional stories. Therefore, the importance and value of this study are not limited to an individual experience alone but shed a broader light on similar experiences and on a pivotal moment in how contemporary Arab critical discourse engages with ancient literary texts.
