Product description

I have included in this Arabic encyclopedia of translation the essence of more than thirty years of my knowledge, experience, and modest scientific understanding of translation, its theories, and its old and modern studies up to this day, along with dozens of research papers and books. It is complemented by applications covering a wide range of texts excerpted from the author's encyclopedic series of university textbooks on translation, consisting of ten volumes over more than ten years. I claim that, until the date of its publication, it is the first of its kind in Arabic in the field of translation between Arabic and English. The encyclopedia also includes many updated applications covering recent issues, theories, studies, and practical applications related to translation, so that the Arab reader does not miss anything I have written about in English, God willing. Dr. Hassan Said Ghazala is a faculty member in the Department of English at the College of Social Sciences, Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca, for more than twenty years. He has held the rank of Professor of Translation and Style since 1424 AH / 2004. He has published 26 books and 55 research papers, most of which are in the field of translation. He is the author of the encyclopedic series of university textbooks (Translation Textbooks), consisting of 10 volumes totaling 3,219 pages, and the author of the phraseological dictionaries: English-Arabic (2007) from Dar Al-Ilm Lil-Malayin, and Phraseological Collocations and Contextual Phrases (2014) from Beirut Library, as well as the Dictionary of Stylistics and Rhetoric, English-Arabic-English (2000) from Elja: Valletta, and he has translated several works between Arabic and English.
