First Edition: 1424 His Excellency the General Supervisor of Al-Bilad Foundation for Press and Publishing, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Masoud, the esteemed, Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you, I have spent, praise be to Allah, nearly seven years managing Al-Bilad Foundation. I bear witness before Allah that during this time I was among the most diligent people in safeguarding its interests and advancing it. I dedicated my time, effort, and mind to work for it through my long administrative experiences. You know that the general manager of the administration bears all the burdens, as there is no full-time general manager for the foundation; instead, they visit it one day or a few hours a week, and then the responsibility falls solely on the administration director, who faces the work movement and its consequences. Also, during the travel, illness, or leave of the general manager, you know that Al-Bilad Foundation has not accumulated a hundred thousand riyals as a reserve since its establishment twenty years ago; rather, it is in debt all the time. Now, it owns assets worth four million riyals, its share in the printing presses, in addition to being owed four million two hundred fifty thousand riyals from Tihama for five months of advertisements. Yesterday, I heard from you that you are dissatisfied with the duality of my work in managing the printing presses and Al-Bilad Foundation, despite there being no breach or neglect in either. This perception likely comes from those who do not work and are annoyed that others do, or from your personal conviction and vision. I expected my efforts to succeed in the foundation to be appreciated; if they did not even reach the level of satisfaction despite everything I have provided, I kindly request your permission to resign from managing the foundation starting from the end of this month, Jumada Al-Awwal 1403 AH. 25/5/1403 Abdulfattah Abu Madin
