Product description

The book's introduction covers the poetry of Al-Awza'i, his upbringing, environment, his relationship with the men of his era, the caliphs, Ibn Hazm, and Medina, then his morals and qualities. Since the poetry was collected from various sources, the introduction also studied these sources, including literary, historical, geographical, and others, and clarified the amount of poetry in each and their importance. The poetry was divided into three sections, the first of which included what was correctly attributed to Al-Awza'i, the second contained poetry attributed to Al-Awza'i and others, and the third was dedicated to forged poetry. With each poem, the occasion on which it was said was mentioned, along with scholars' comments and explanations, and the poetry and narratives were arranged according to the antiquity of the sources.
