This book begins with a methodological approach to what has been written about the human and cultural history of Jeddah before presenting the lineage of "The Genius of Place" to understand the different dimensions of Jeddah's personality through implementing the elements of this framework and understanding the interactive relationship between location and position. This work belongs to an intellectual current that seeks to clarify Jeddah's status and its deep cultural and spiritual essence by working to fill the knowledge gap about it through analyzing available studies and information about its cultural, spiritual, and social history using modern intellectual schools that allow linking the scientific and social aspects, as well as connecting comprehensive geography with history, as they are twin sciences originating from one source, each complementing and blending with the other. The author employs various scientific methodologies in research, culminating in citations of the Noble Qur'anic verses, prophetic hadiths, poetry, popular Zajal, and the opinions of philosophers.
