The picture and the meaning

This book includes a theoretical and conceptual section, two practical critical sections, and a historical section: It aims to view cinematic creativity as rich for thinking, and to consider the conditions for the possibility of invoking cinema to occupy a suitable position in the intellectual and aesthetic discussion that revolves around questions of artistic modernity in Arab culture, and what it implies of issues concerning existence, politics, history, culture, the body, memory, and freedom.
