The life of Muhammad, peace be upon him

Many historians, old and modern, wrote about the biography of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, but the book "The Life of Muhammad" by Muhammad Hussein Haykal remains one of the most prominent books written in the modern era about this great historical and religious figure; in this book, Haykal reviews that pivotal period of human history in a refined scientific style free of fanaticism and partisanship, and he is keen not to follow the prevailing historical narratives of his time, which consisted of reiterating the methods of the ancients. Instead, he tried to change his methodological approach to rely on modern historical research methods to get closer to the historical truth, basing his vision on induction, experimentation, and observation, and using reason alongside transmission. Haykal has truly proven through this remarkable work that he is a capable historian and a venerable scholar.
