Product description

The novel "Memoirs from the Underworld" by the Russian Fyodor Dostoevsky is considered one of his deepest and most creative literary works, and some have indeed regarded it as his best work. It has been translated into Arabic in more than one version, as Dr. Sami Al-Droubi translated it under the title "In My Grave," and it was translated again under the name "Memoirs of a Cellar," while Anis Zaki Hassan translated it as "The Talkative Man." However, we exclusively offer a beautiful translation by Professor Zaghloul Fahmy. The novel "Memoirs from the Underworld" is considered the first existential novel; the story is narrated by a contemptible and hated man without a name, who tries to disturb his readers. He works as a civil servant in Petersburg, and the monologue style dominates the novel, especially in its first part. Through this section, we get to know the writer-protagonist, his thoughts, and beliefs. It is a memoir-like novel, but it is painful and difficult to repeat.
