Product description
The Islamic state's interest during the two caliphates of Umayyad and Abbasid was focused on religious and civil sciences, which resulted in our Islamic civilization having a blend of mind and spirit, distinguishing it from many previous civilizations. Islam encouraged the pursuit of knowledge and considered it an obligation for every Muslim man and woman. The scholars were honored as heirs to the prophets. Islamic civilization was characterized by the nobility of the monotheistic belief and by ethnic diversity in arts, sciences, and architecture. The sparks of this young civilization began to dispel the darkness of ignorance and illuminate the way for humanity through Islamic urbanization on all levels, while it was rising and elevating the lands of Islam from Al-Andalus in the west to the borders of China in the east. Europe and the rest of the world were living in ignorance and cultural darkness. The book published in Damascus or Baghdad was carried by trade caravans to reach Cordoba in Spain within a month. This prosperity achieved a unique cultural unity and widespread dissemination of our Arabic language. With this scientific renaissance, Arab universities appeared.
