Empty string

The book / Yutopia, by the author / Ahmed Khaled Tawfik, imagines a bleak future for Egypt in 2023, where the country is divided between a few affluent living in isolation inside "Yutopia," and a majority oppressed suffering from poverty and violence. With his smooth and critical style, Tawfik depicts the loss of values and humans turning into monsters when the social system collapses. A short but profound dystopian novel, revealing the fragility of civilization when justice is absent, and one of his most prominent contributions to contemporary social science fiction literature.
