Product description
Analytic philosophy, which was advocated by Moore, Frege, and Russell, produced the philosophy of ordinary language that Ludwig Wittgenstein later adopted, and through it, linguistic studies shifted from an ideal high language to a daily language, and the philosopher's research shifted from a study of language to a study of clarifying vague ideas according to clear linguistic usages. These ideas led Austin, Searle, and Kripke to produce pragmatic theories in speech acts and conversational and rhetorical implicatures, and our Arab heritage is rich with the origins of communicative processes upon which all these theories are built. And since foundational studies have cared for Quranic and prophetic texts as the speech issued by the Almighty, Glorified and Exalted be He, for the purpose of deriving legal rulings, it became necessary for the foundational scholars to research language usages, and one of the most important tools of the foundational scholars is language.
