Great manners: Ibn al-Muqaffa' admits that he took this book from the sayings of the predecessors, and he presented it with an introduction ("On the virtue of the ancestors in knowledge, the conditions of studying it, and the purpose of this book") and divided it into two sections: the first on the ruler and his companions and the virtues each should have, in this section there are two chapters: the first on the ruler and the second on accompanying the ruler. As for the second section, it was dedicated to friends, the good choice of friends, their good treatment, and everything related to friends.
Small manners: Ibn al-Muqaffa' was also a transmitter in small manners. He said: ("And I have put in this book some preserved words of people") but he manipulated what he transmitted. This book is a metaphor for social moral lessons that encourage knowledge and call a person to discipline himself, and it recommends friendship.
