Gel/Silicone Horsehide Pad – Smart Design to Protect a Sensitive Area

A small pad specifically designed to protect one of the most sensitive areas of a horse's back: the horse's withers. Made of flexible gel or silicone, this pad is placed between the saddle and the basic pad. It helps isolate the horsehide and reduce direct friction between the saddle and this moving area.

Because the horsehide is not a fixed part of the horse's body, it is more susceptible to friction and injuries resulting from constant pressure. These injuries are often painful and difficult to treat. Therefore, this pad is designed with a heightened profile on both sides to slightly raise the saddle above the withers, while maintaining the flexibility necessary for natural saddle movement without causing friction.
