The Importance of Alkalinity in Marine Aquariums

Alkalinity represents the combined concentration of carbonates and bicarbonates and is a key factor in stabilizing pH levels in marine aquariums. Optimal values ​​are close to those of natural seawater (approximately 7.5 dKH); to maintain a stable and healthy system, fluctuations should ideally not exceed 5%.
