Seachem Alkaline Buffer™ is a non-phosphate, chemically balanced powder designed to safely raise pH and increase carbonate hardness (KH) in freshwater aquariums. It is especially ideal for planted tanks and aquariums using RO/DI water where natural alkalinity is low. Its phosphate-free formula prevents algae growth and avoids the cloudiness often associated with phosphate-based buffers.

Alkaline Buffer™ allows precise control of pH within the range of 7.2 to 8.5, and when used in combination with Seachem Acid Buffer™, it provides highly accurate pH customization for any freshwater environment.

Directions for Use

To Raise pH

Add:

• 1 teaspoon (6 g) per 80 L (20 US gallons) daily
• until the desired pH is achieved.
