Product Overview

Seachem Safe is the most complete and super-concentrated dry conditioner for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. It effectively removes chlorine and chloramine while detoxifying ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Safe is non-acidic and will not affect the pH balance of the water. Additionally, it does not over-activate protein skimmers in reef systems.

Primary Uses

Seachem Safe is used during the biological cycling of aquariums to reduce ammonia and nitrite toxicity. It can also be applied when filling or replacing tank water, or in emergency situations to neutralize harmful substances.

Directions for Use

Use 1.25 g (¼ teaspoon) for every 1,250 liters (300 gallons) of water to remove chlorine and chloramine, or the same dose for every 300 liters (80 gallons) to remove ammonia.

It is best to dissolve Seachem Safe in new water before adding it to the aquarium. For high chloramine concentrations, the dosage may safely be doubled.

In emergency situations to neutralize nitrite and nitrate, up to four times the normal dose can be used.

If the temperature exceeds 30°C (86°F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use half the normal dose.
