Welcome to Hyunam-Dong Library

Youngju did everything she was supposed to do: studying at university, marrying a decent man, getting a respectable job, then everything collapsed. She gave up her previous life after being exhausted by work, left her high-profile career, and followed her dream, opening a bookstore. In an attractive neighborhood in Seoul, Youngju shelters her customers in their refuge surrounded by books: the only coffee maker, the unhappy coffee roaster in her married life, and the writer who sees something special in Youngju. All of them have experienced past traumas and disappointments in their lives. Hyunam-dong bookstore becomes the place where they all learn how to truly live. A warm story that encourages positivity, about peace and contentment in life, and the power of books in healing.
