Lacking love... gives it. With love, a person — and an animal — can transform the harsh reality into a beautiful life full of tenderness, warmth, desire for development, and building oneself and others. The dog did not receive love since it was taken from its mother and siblings, and the boy only knew love from some friends and for limited times. Also, this old lady was deprived of love since everyone around her turned into fierce beings that only care about material things. But these three heroes kept the seed of love inside them and nurtured it until it overflowed to spread goodness to those around them... and to help each other bear the burdens of difficult life. Despite the three being on the street without friends, loved ones, or possessions, they were able to endure and stand firm, and they were rewarded by finding each other and rising together... In a phenomenon I believe is new to us, I find many school students wishing to compete with the "adults" in various fields, with self-confidence that drives them to do so and to strive in work and self-development. I found three of these students at the school where I work: their talent in drawing is clear, and their desire to try something new and unfamiliar made me think of giving them the chance to illustrate this book, each taking on a character to draw... and the result was much better than I expected...
