Gharas Al-Quran Initiative

A Qur'anic educational initiative specially designed for kindergarten children aims to instill a love of the Qur'an in their hearts from a young age with a calm approach and gradual progression suitable for early childhood characteristics. The program focuses on memorizing a selected group of short surahs, enabling the child to know the name of the surah, distinguish between Meccan and Medinan surahs in a simple visual way, recognize the number of verses using visual counting, develop basic recitation skills, attention, and auditory memory. The program lasts for eight weeks, with four days a week, and daily sessions of 12 to 15 minutes, making it suitable for implementation in kindergarten or at home without exhausting the child. The program relies on enjoyable teaching strategies such as short repetition, chanting, learning through play, surah cards and classification as Meccan or Medinan, counting verses with stars or cubes, and positive reinforcement with certificates. The target group is kindergarten children aged 4 to 6 years, also suitable for the preparatory level depending on the child's ability. Program contents include a heart chart of surahs, Meccan and Medinan cards, a completion certificate, Qur'an planting, not just memorization, but a gentle Qur'anic foundation and a correct start that leaves an extended educational impact.
