First day program Welcome to Brazil, upon your arrival we welcome you at Rio de Janeiro airport and take you to the hotel to rest after your long journey, then a light tour around the area surrounding the accommodation and on Copacabana beach, with our group having dinner. Second day We start our day with a visit to Sambodromo racetrack where the biggest carnivals are held every February, where we take a look at samba traditions and its history, the idea of the carnival, and the efforts made throughout the year in preparation for it. Then we head to see the Metropolitan Cathedral with its unique architecture and beautiful arts. Next, we go to the city icon and its famous symbol, where the Christ the Redeemer statue stands on top of Corcovado Mountain as if embracing the entire city. It is reached by a historic train through Tijuca Forest. We stand there to find ourselves in front of a beautiful panoramic scene; clouds, the endless sea, and green mountains. Afterward, we take you on a tour of several famous landmarks in the city, including Maracanã Stadium and what this stadium means to a country passionate about football, where players dance as if enchanted. We learn about the major tournaments and events held there. If there are no football events on our visit day, we will tour inside the stadium, including the locker rooms, the players' tunnel, and sitting on the benches. Then we head to see a famous artistic landmark in the city center, the colorful and beautifully painted Selaron stairs, which have become a mesmerizing work of art, as if the designer left a heartbeat in every step he painted. Our next destination is the historic and safe neighborhood of Santa Teresa, where we wander through its narrow cobbled streets full of life, surrounded by warm-colored houses. We reach the top of the hill for a beautiful view of the city. In the evening, you are free to stroll around Copacabana beach and nearby beaches, and enjoy the events held there. Third day We take you to visit one of the popular and impoverished neighborhoods, Favela Santa Marta, where we delve into the simple life of the residents and their local culture. We communicate with them, learn about their way of life, and the efforts to improve their living conditions, enjoying views of the city beaches and landmarks. Then we head to Sugarloaf Mountain, one of the city's most prominent landmarks. We start from its base in Urca neighborhood via a large cable car towards the first station at Morro da Urca, at 220 meters high, where we enjoy views of Copacabana beach, Guaiba Island, and Corcovado Mountains. We continue the second part of the ascent by cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, seeing the city and its various neighborhoods, extending beaches, Guanabara Bay, and yachts decorating it. Fourth day We head to the airport for departure to the Amazon capital, Manaus. Upon arrival, we go to the hotel for some rest, then take a pleasant walking tour of the historic city center landmarks, including the famous Opera House, surrounding squares, and nearby markets, before hosting you for dinner in the heart of the city. Fifth day In the morning, we head to the port for a full-day river tour on a ferry and into the forest, including lunch, offering a view of the city and its beaches from the river side. We then go to the meeting point of the Solimões and Negro rivers to see the amazing phenomenon of their non-mixing for several kilometers. Afterwards, we venture deep into the forest searching for the Victoria Regia plant, one of the giant water lilies, then see fierce piranha fish and look for pink dolphins famous in the Amazon River, and see the giant Kapok tree, which extends several meters in width. Sixth day We take you on a wonderful adventure in the Amazon River, spending the night there. We leave the city by bus before sailing on the river for several kilometers through the Amazon rainforest, enjoying those unique moments until we reach our accommodation in the middle of the forest. After rest and lunch (included), we take multiple tours throughout the day and the next day, including a boat trip on local wooden boats across rivers and flooded forest areas to look for wildlife such as monkeys and sloths. We stop to fish for the fierce piranhas, then continue to see the gentle pink dolphins and swim with them if desired. After returning and dinner (included), we head again to the river on those boats to see the nocturnal life in the forests, trying to spot animals like caimans (small crocodiles) and other wildlife. Seventh day We wake early to see the sunrise over the Amazon and enjoy the sounds of the forest coming back to life after hibernation, possibly spotting some birds like toucans, herons, and parrots. After breakfast, we take a walk in the forest to learn about its trees and their medicinal uses, and see some small animals during our walk. We leave before noon heading to Manaus airport for our flight to São Paulo, one of the largest cities in the world. Eighth day São Paulo… the largest city in Brazil and the fourth largest in the world by population, and the biggest city in the southern hemisphere. We take you on several tours to visit some of its prominent landmarks such as Paulista Avenue, the city’s financial and cultural heart, and main artery. We enjoy walking among skyscrapers where banks, companies, museums, and restaurants line both sides. Since a crowded city like this needs a green space to breathe, we take you to Ibirapuera Park, one of the largest urban parks in the world, featuring lakes, walking paths, and botanical gardens. Next, we visit the historic city center, exploring several landmarks like Sé Square, the city’s heart, which witnessed some historic events, the São Paulo Cathedral with its magnificent Gothic style, the colorful Santa Efigênia Bridge, and the beautiful Vale do Anhangabaú Square. We then head to Pico do Baité Street, famous for its graffiti art on the walls, before moving slightly to the upscale Gardens neighborhood, with its luxurious cafes and elegant shops. We tour Oscar Freire Street, known for its famous brands. Ninth day We take you on a tour of one of São Paulo’s most famous neighborhoods, the Japanese neighborhood “Liberdade,” the center of the Japanese community in the city. We stroll through its beautiful streets, small markets, and visit the temples. Then we head to one of the largest open markets in the world, 25 de Março Street, which attracts over 300,000 visitors daily. This market has been mainly developed by Arabs, especially Palestinians and Lebanese, over several decades. At night, we depart the city heading to its airport for our flight to Foz do Iguaçu with its stunning waterfalls. Tenth day An adventurous day begins with a quick visit to the world’s largest hydroelectric station, the Itaipu Dam and its beautiful lake. We take a tour around it, enjoying its various viewpoints, then head to one of the most natural and powerful landmarks in Latin America, the Iguaçu Falls. With its roaring waters, the train inside the park takes us to some distant viewpoints, then we proceed closer to the falls, hearing their mighty roar. We cross a beautiful bridge in the middle of the falls offering a panoramic view of many cascades, then go to a platform very close to one of them. Before taking an elevator to get a comprehensive view from above the falls and resting there. Next, we visit one of the most lively and fun activities in the park, the exciting Makoko trail, which includes a short walk in the forest near the river to learn about some trees, then descend to a small dock where we take an exciting boat tour beneath the waterfalls, then our boat captain dances with the waves. After returning to the city, we visit the tri-border point where Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina meet, offering a view of these countries from one place separated by the river. Eleventh day After breakfast, we head to the airport for our return flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, we take you on a tour to explore the city and how life is during the weekend, whether at the Sunday Market FEIRA LIVRE DA GLÓRIA where local vendors sell their various goods such as antiques, gifts, souvenirs, and more, or at Ipanema Beach, where the street is closed to cars and opened for pedestrians and cyclists, creating a lively atmosphere.
