The Eternal Love
The novel "The Eternal Love" tells the story of the love of the young man (Henry), an American teenager of Chinese origin, and a teenage girl of Japanese-American origin (Keiko). The events took place during World War II, under different policies (axes and alliances) that affected the events of the war on my two countries, and the harsh and difficult circumstances had an impact on the love that brought them together. They parted for many years because of the Japanese being detained in special camps in America, and each faced their fate and continued their private life. After the war ended and Japan surrendered, (Henry) was married and had a son (Marty) with his wife (Ethel), whom he lost due to cancer. As for (Keiko), she married, had children and grandchildren, and she also lost her husband.
Upon finishing the novel, it becomes clear to us that teenage love — that is, first love — which awakens and stirs the first human feelings, cannot fade or be cut off. It remains present, holding all its moments and feelings with every new development in life, crossing the years, penetrating the soul until the end of life.
They said about the novel: An emotionally stirring story that takes the reader back in time... A convincing novel that describes the pain of separation — Desert Morning News.
I loved it!
