The history teacher leaves the land of Africa at a scientific seminar in Yemen, and finds in it an opportunity to meet one of the Shiite occultists and understand what was obscured from him about a treasure he found in an ancient tomb. The shock from the buried secret is immense: it is the psalms of the Mountain Sheikh, the dweller of the eagle's nest, Hassan al-Sabbah, and his wafers, teachings, and commandments! And so, the tomb-digger teacher becomes a fugitive pursued by those to burn the cursed treasure and others seeking the legacy of their sacred master, while he insists on his treasure, seeing in it a national wealth through which he explores regions submerged in darkness from the history of the most dangerous sect known in the medieval era. The journey of conflicting emotions begins: the joy of the discoverer who deciphers the riddles and symbols of the psalms, and the terror of the fleeing man, chased by drug dealers and police. It is a story of digging into the history of a sectarian group woven around tales that sometimes bordered on myth, especially the figure of its founder Hassan al-Sabbah, the steadfast in the Alamut Castle, who plotted to spread his doctrine with the power of his eloquence and the zeal of his trained assassins. The movement ended long ago, but the story announces the resurrection of the Assassins, recalling the times of sectarian wars, and delves into history with an artistic eye, reweaving chapters of a thousand-year-old past, connecting the past with the present, revealing the main reasons for the absence of the Arab world's renaissance.
