Art Print by The Poster Studio 🎨
This poster is inspired by the decorative cement tiles that adorn the old houses of Jeddah, specifically the tiles of Bait Al-Sharbatly, one of the most prominent architectural landmarks in Historic Jeddah.
These tiles are distinguished by their precise geometric and decorative compositions, which have endured for decades and reflect an artistic taste connected to traditional Hijazi life.
Historic Jeddah (Al-Balad) is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, due to its cultural and architectural value that documents the city’s history and diversity.
This work is a contemporary visual reinterpretation of those architectural details, with the aim of preserving visual memory and transforming it into an art piece that can be displayed within modern spaces.
If you ever visit Bait Al-Sharbatly, you will notice how the tiles transform from a simple architectural element into a rich visual narrative filled with history and identity.
