The branch box - olive wood

Rectangular box with two lids, one lid separate, made with traditional Najdi metalwork art, and the other part of the lid a sliding board with a hand-embroidered design depicting a branch of the type of tree whose wood is used. This box is made using traditional methods that help preserve its wood and function. The art of Najdi metalwork is a traditional craft exclusive to Jeddah, associated with ancient building arts, as well as with the art of drawing intricate geometric decorations. The Najdi board on the box lid features the ability to detach, disassemble, and assemble in different shapes and positions. The other part of the lid is hand-embroidered with skillful craftsmanship, and this embroidery is connected to the wood of the box, where it appears as a branch of the same type of tree from which the body of the box is made.
