What is BioGarlic? BioGarlic consists of tablets containing high-concentration garlic. Each tablet contains 300 mg of dried garlic powder, which is a standard for the amino acid content allicin. BioGarlic is produced in a way that preserves the active components and enzyme activity of fresh garlic. When allicin contacts the enzyme alliinase, allicin is formed, which gives garlic its distinctive smell. This process actually occurs in your mouth when you chew fresh garlic. BioGarlic tablets are coated, meaning they do not dissolve in the stomach. Only when the tablets are taken and fully dissolved in the intestines, the garlic enzyme alliinase is activated and converts allicin into allicin, significantly reducing the risk of garlic breath. Furthermore, the delay in dissolving the tablets means that the content of allicin and alliinase is not broken down or deactivated in the stomach.
