Two women in Prague

Author: Juan Jose Miyas Year of publication: 2025 Book classification: Short stories and novels Publisher: Hayat Publications Number of pages: 207 Format: Paperback Synopsis: - "Two women in Prague" stems from a disturbing idea: what did not happen in our lives may have a deeper impact than what actually happened. Through a writer who chooses to live and write from her left side, a widow searching for someone to record her biography, and a writer pursued by the question of identity, Juan Jose Miyas creates a narrative maze blending irony with black humor. Here, the narrator does not stand on the sidelines but immerses himself in the story, roles change, and the boundaries between the narrator and characters break down until the reader becomes part of the game. A novel about loneliness, belonging, and the hidden wounds left by "what did not happen," and about the stories we invent to understand ourselves.
