In this book, there are values that Ali Al-Wardi resists in the Iraqi city... These values, as he sees them... were an extension of comprehensive tribalism that descended into cities from some edges of Iraq and its countryside... and it awakened the backwardness in the morals of cities to form, in their various tributaries, tribal, sectarian, and professional tribalism. The major dilemma that Ali Al-Wardi studies is the one that threatens the social structure, represented by the erosion of the city's role in facing the rural invasion, and he sees that its effects have gone beyond social problems, expanding tribalism, and the infiltration of different values into the fabric of cities, to something more dangerous: when the fanaticism for the backward values of the countryside and the adherence to primitive instincts dominate the country's political life. Al-Wardi addressed this issue through study, analysis, and interpretation, while the embarrassment prevented many from dealing with this phenomenon and attempting to analyze and interpret it, due to the many sensitivities it raises and the shortcomings in understanding and acceptance.
