What is philosophy

Author: Michel Foucault Publication date: 2025 Book classification: Philosophy Publisher: Dar Al Saqi Number of pages: 320 Format: Paperback About the book: What is philosophy and its role today? Foucault presents a new approach to understanding philosophy: it is a material discourse aimed at diagnosing the present. He also analyzes the boundaries that separate philosophical discourse from other discourses: scientific, literary, and religious. In a manuscript published for the first time after more than half a century since it was written, Foucault provides the most detailed and best explanation of the ambitions of his intellectual project. A major contribution to the old archive and an important stimulus for thinking about the future.
