Rather, it is an attempt to water the seeds of a promising future with a sip of that pure water. For these men raised the banner of truth high and proud, and they relished sacrificing their souls, hearts, and blood for it; they were truly symbols of sacrifice and examples of redemption. They surpassed the impossible, overcame hardships, pierced through the waves, and braved terrors, weaving from the threads of their concern garments of pride, elevation, and dignity. Their history exploded with glory, heroism, dignity, and sacrifice. In the pages of this book, I have chosen the icons of history who have been shrouded in neglect and forgetfulness, so that the great public no longer knows them. The biographies of these men are very important because of the lessons and morals their lives contain. I claim that the personalities I mentioned in this book are no longer known by the majority of young men and women. If they know the names, they do not know their deeds; and if they know some of their deeds, they have missed the lessons and morals from them.
