Covey was a capable teacher. Millions of people know this; it is not a secret, but what they may fully understand is that he was a capable teacher because he was originally a capable student; he was not born and then became Dr. Stephen R. Covey overnight, when he was a little child playing with his friends, he did not give talks about principles of cooperation when facing a tough game, and when he got older, he did not give lectures to his visiting friends about prioritizing when they were gathering toys before grabbing a snack. It is a wonderful idea, but none of this happened.
